Drunk Drivers
Under Alabama law the victims of drunk drivers are entitled to be compensated for damages they have been forced to suffer. These damages may include medical bills, lost earnings, physical pain, mental anguish and physical impairment. Additionally, juries in Alabama have the option of assessing exemplary or punitive damages against the drunk driver to punish him for his conduct and to send a message to those in the community who might commit such offenses.
